Classic Hot Milk Cake

We’ve swapped out the milk in this traditional family recipe with oat milk.

 

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 40 minutes

 

3/4 cup Chobani Oat Milk

1/4 cup butter

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 eggs

1 2/3 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

Powdered sugar, Chobani  Yogurt and fresh fruit

 

Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly butter an 8 or 9-inch square baking dish. Place milk and butter in a small saucepan and heat until butter is melted. Transfer to a large bowl and stir in sugar and extract. Let cool to warm and stir in eggs. Stir together dry ingredients and add to bowl, mixing until incorporated. Spread evenly into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely and dust with powdered sugar. Cut cake into squares and top each with a dollop of yogurt and fruit. Makes 9 servings.
