No Juicer Apple Juice

So simple and so good. Save the pulp for baking or add to savory dishes.

What you need:

Modi apples, cored and diced

High speed blend or food processor

Cheesecloth or thin dish cloth

Strainer

Line a strainer with several layers of cheesecloth or a thin clean dishcloth and place over a larger bowl. Place apples in a blender or food processor and blend until very finely pureed. Transfer to strainer and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes. Gather up the edges of the cheesecloth and gently squeeze the juice from the pulp over the strainer until very little liquid remains. Transfer juice to an airtight container and store for up to 2 weeks.

Don’t throw away the pulp! Add a bit more juice or water to make it an applesauce consistency and use in place of applesauce in your recipes. Try this recipe below!
