Chocolate Truffle Swirl Squares

All the great taste of truffles with so much less work. The swirled chocolate makes this easy dessert extra impressive.

 

2/3 cup First Street Heavy Whipping Cream, divided

1/2 cup First Street Butter, divided

1 (12-oz.) bag First Street Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1 bag First Street White Baking Chips

2 teaspoons First Street Vanilla Extract, divided

 

Place 1/3 cup cream and  1/4 cup butter into 2 separate medium saucepans. Cook over low heat until warm, but not hot. Add semi sweet chips to one pan and white chips to the other. Cook over very low heat for about 6 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until chips are almost melted. Remove from heat and stir until fully melted. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with plastic wrap, taping it at the top to keep it in place.  Pour semi-sweet mixture into pan. Top with spoonful’s of the white chocolate mixture. Swirl a spoon or butter knife through the mixture to create marbled effect. Cover and place in refrigerator to chill overnight. Remove from pan by pulling up plastic wrap. Cut into 36 small squares with a very sharp knife. Keep well chilled until ready to serve. May be prepared up to 2 weeks ahead and stored in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Makes 36 squares.
