Flakey Strawberry Almond Strudel
Starting with puff pastry makes this fast and easy to prepare. Adding Dalmatia Organic Strawberry Spread not only makes these pastries easy but super tasty!

Cook time: 25 to 30 minutes
Makes: 12 servings
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed (1/2 of a 17.3-oz. box)
1/2 cup crumbled almond paste, divided
6 tablespoons Dalmatia Organic Strawberry Spread, divided
Milk
Sliced almonds
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unfold pastry and cut in half to make 2 rectangular strips. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle 1/4 cup of almond paste down the center of each pastry strip. Spoon strawberry spread over almond paste. Cut 1/2-inch about 3/4-inch apart on the long side of each pastry. Fold in strips, stretching lightly, so they overlap in the center. Press down lightly to seal. Brush with milk and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool, then dust with powdered sugar. Cut into small pieces. May be prepared 1 day ahead.
